This is our 2020 Ram Promaster 3500 extended with the 159″ wheel base. It has the 3.6L V-6 gasoline engine and is FWD. We have been working on for the past two years. My wife is a travel nurse so I began building this for us to travel / live in while we were out on her contracts. We have purchased several good components and made some good head way on the build but there is still plenty to do. I’m hoping to give this project a good home while making someone a good deal in the process.
We do still have a loan on the van.
We are currently in SLC Utah on contract until March. Anyone wanting to come view the van is more than welcome. I will post as many pics as possible to give you an idea of what the build looks like as well as what still needs to be done. I will also make a list of components to give you an idea of what is in it. I’m sure I will miss something, so don’t hesitate to ask any question that you may have.
Most of the lower parts of the build are done with 80/20 aluminum framing. The upper cabinets are all wood. Both front seats swivel. The two benches connect with some 80/20 pieces to form a bed that goes from side to side. The composting toilet is mounted in the rear of the van. Across from the toilet I installed a drain with the idea that we would install a shower that could be set up and taken down when needed.

Work left to be done-
Electrical:
The electrical is mostly complete. The only things left needing to be done are to wire up the 12v dump valve, finish wiring up the light for the license plate relocation, and finishing connecting the water pump wires when it is mounted.
General Build:
The rear door panels need to be built. The rear needs to finish being trimmed out around the doors and ceiling. The closet area needs face frames and doors build if desired. The closet also needs the electrical wires boxed in. The top portion of the sliding door needs to be finished as well as the trim above the door. Both benches need to be trimmed out if desired. In addition to the wood/trim, the paint needs to be finished as well.
Plumbing:
The plumbing is roughed in but needs to be finished hooking up. There is a 30 gallon fresh water tank, Isotemp water heater, and 12v water pump that needs to be finished hooking up. The Isotemp can be run to the engine compartment to circulate the coolant to heat the water or it can be plugged in to the 110 outlet.
