Sprinter 4×4 170″ 44,300 Miles
We bought this van in 2020 brand new. It had always been our dream to drive across the country as a family and we did it. To the East Coast and back with a lot in between. Since then we have done many road trips. Most of the miles are long drives with a few trips out to the desert and in the mountains. The four wheel drive works excellent on snow and mud. I’ve never tested its capability with serious off roading but it is capable. It has worked out well for four of us but our family is shrinking as our kids are moving on. It sleeps four easily by adding another mattress on the floor underneath the platform bed. The battery will run the refrigerator and lights and charging our devices for a couple days with zero input. Throw in the solar and the alternator charging and we really never see the battery go below 80%. There is one small ding just behind the slider that we got in the Disneyland parking lot. Nobody left a note. 😕. Other than that body and paint is good. We will be sad to see this go but I’m ready to downsize and start a new project.
Because I’ve gotten a lot of questions… It does not have an aftermarket heater. I use a propane Mr. heater buddy and it works great. Van gets toasty. Does not have a sink, stove,or toilet. With four of us there just isn’t room. We have a privacy tent that we set up outside for the toilet and we cook outside on the table.
