FOR SALE:
170 LENGTH, 3500, 4X4 HIGHTOP SPRINTER.
The Van (Vandalorian) kids named it was built by Tourig, EASILY one of the best builders in the country and my second build with them,
As mentioned, this is my second van build with Tourig over the past 6 years, and I cannot say enough good things about the company. Purchased in Dec of 2020, the build was completed from TouRig in the summer of 2021. The van is loaded with options: two heaters, one Wabasto and one AquaHot; the van does have hydronic heat, hot water, an Induction cooktop, a cassette toilet, as well as a lithium battery setup, along with solar panels.
Legally, the Vandalorian seats 4, but a few more can get in with the bench seats in the back. The two rear captains chairs can be removed, and I am happy to do so if wanted. All glass windows have a UV protectant to keep the heat out in the summer in addition to window tint. The paint has been protected with a clay bar finish, and the vehicle has been kept inside when not in use.
The mileage is approximately 14,500; I have a prepaid maintenance package and an extended warranty all through Mercedes Benz to go along with the van. This is the 170-length and 3500 model, which means it’s a dually. The dually drives so much nicer on the road than the non dually model, and it is INCREDIBLE in deep sand. The suspension has all been upgraded to FOX.
There is an onboard air compressor for all the toys, and tires can be inflated remotely. The van comes with a bypass switch that will jump-start the van if, for some reason, the starter battery gets depleted.
The H20 system has fresh and gray water tanks; a new water filter was installed this week. The slider door has full mosquito netting with a built-in magnetic “door”. This allows the main slider door to remain open without pests entering. TouRig Bunker Basin shower.
There are two remote-controlled MaxxAir vents, one towards the front and one in the rear, which create great airflow when set up in tandem. Also installed two CAframo sirocco interior fans.
I ordered the Sprinter with the top-of-the-line large factory touch screen but had aftermarket speakers installed in the front. The wiring is complete for additional rear speakers and is also prepped for a subwoofer.
Unique to the van is a German-engineered pop top, which my kids slept in, but it will accommodate two adults all the same. The main bed in the rear is almost king-size, maybe 10″ narrower. In addition, if you have small kiddos, there are two bunk-style beds under the main bed. I asked Tourig to set it up with a lee cloth on each one, similar to what a sailboat may have to keep you from rolling out…..
All cabinets are aluminum and include Hefla dimmable lighting; there’s a 4′ walnut dining table in the rear with padded bench seats. Walnut countertops, USB ports, and LED lighting throughout.
On the outside, I installed an Owl Van lockable storage box, two bike racks, Roambuilt sidesteps, a CAtuned front bumper, and offroad lights. Up top, there’s a storage platform above the rear doors. For the awning, I went with Dragonfly. It takes about 4-5 min to set up and can be deployed in rain, snow, wind, etc. On the previous van, I had a Fiamma awning, which is really nice but problematic if left unattended and weather rolls in. The Dragonfly may take 1-2 minutes more than a Fiamma to set up, but it’s more versatile and WAY more durable. 2 Lumicoin exterior lights.
My boys are soooo bummed to see the rig go up for sale, but we are making some changes, and our Vandalorianis is not getting used the way it should be. It is such a blast to drive, the layout is super comfortable, and once set up, it makes for an unbelievable basecamp.
I have a copy of the build sheet, but it does not include the wheels, tires, sidesteps, storage box, rear door swing arm attachments, bike racks, spare tire and wheel, upper storage on the roof, speakers, and some smaller aftermarket items. Please reach out if interested, and I can send it over.
I uploaded a video I sent to a buddy a while back; please excuse it! 😂
