This van drives great!! We love this thing and are only selling because we are getting a different layout that suits our non-camping lifestyle a bit more.
Build was done some DIY and the main components done by Van conversion specialists in the area it was done in (electrical, metal fabricator, etc.). We bought this in 2023 from the couple that did the build and have had no issues with any of their work on the van.
VIN is an RV Vin so banks loan on it as an RV/Motorhome.
Brand new side boards great for snow but easy on barefeet.
Brand new cushioned seat covers for front two seats.
Brand new front Weather protection floor mats.
Low miles for a 2020.
Seats 9 with seatbelts!! Unheard of when looking for a family conversion.
We sleep 5-6!
-2 in the Queen that comes down with assist (Can have foam added on each side to make a larger bed)
-Bench seat with seatbelts folds out to be an XL Twin
-3 Seat Bench can take a backseat blow up mattress (truck style)
-Luno mattress for front seats comes with the van and sleeps one.
-We have little kids so we sleep one on the XL Twin (not pulled out) and another smaller kiddo on the floor beside it on a blow up mattress (twin). They like it that way.
Water system: This setup is for cold weather but could be modified for full-time. Currently uses an outdoor shower bag for “clean” water, has a pump to come out of the faucet seamlessly and drains into a 10 gallon jug you can easily remove and dump. No freezing pipes and no winterizing, which is why we have loved this living in Colorado.
The desk is HUGE along the side of the bench in the back. Has a cell booster, plugs for devices and access to a storage cubby and the inverter.
Shore power 30amp hook ups.
Stored covered and Lithium batteries always kept warm in the winter.
Toilet is under the bump seat that lifts up. Can use cassette. We use a Trelino separater that fits perfectly in that spot.
The curtain in the ceiling is on a smooth track, is black out but can be changed out, and seprates the entire kitchen/toilet area for changing, using the bathroom without having to put up window coverings, etc. Easily wraps around the bed post out of the way.
Kitchen has a dometic fridge, sink with electric pump, storage above, rack, 3 drawers and magnetic portable lighting.
Max air Fan above the 3 seat bench and bed area.
Heater comes from diesel tank and is located under the passenger seat.
Batteries are wired to charge while driving but it is not hooked up (to prevent battery drainage the way we currently use it.)
Removable wood table goes between front swivel seats and 2nd row bench.
Storage shelf added above front two seats for lots of storage/luggage/bins/etc.
Solar on the roof as well as cell booster antenna.
More solar and batteries could be added. Plenty of room for storage bins or cabinets along the ceiling to be added as well if needed for full-time living.
3 Seat bench could be taken out and more customizations could be done to make it work for 1-2 people rather than a family setup.
Works amazing as a family daily driver, weekend traveler! We use it for this rather than living in it.
It has never been lived in full-time. Only used for weekends.
Discloser: Because we had a deer run out in front of us at night in the mountains, the van got a new engine, new turbo, and new A/C compressor at 38,000. The warranty and work were all done through Mercedes of Albuquerque. We have had it back since last summer, and it runs beautifully. We have taken it out of town numerous times with zero issues. We have a great contact there that handled the repairs, and we are happy to give his info to anyone interested so they can speak with him directly about the work done and the current condition. To us, it feels like we get more time with those parts since they are new, certified and warrantied through Mercedes.
