About the build:
If you're looking for a van that can handle colder and wetter climates, look no further! Our van is designed to withstand the elements, with insulation on the ceiling, floors, and walls. Even in below 30-degree weather, this van stays cozy and warm, so you can skip the fire unless it's below 25 degrees (though we love having one for fun!).
This van runs entirely on solar, so you'll never have to worry about propane. We've spent up to a week parked in the same spot, and the batteries have never died.
Inside the van, you'll find a wood stove that serves multiple purposes. Not only does it keep you warm and provide a heat source for cooking (if you ever need it), but it also helps dry out the van after snowy or ocean-side adventures. The wood stove is conveniently situated on a drawer system that holds kindling and firewood, making it easy to access.
The kitchen is placed to face out of the sliding door, so you can enjoy your surroundings while cooking. A MaxxFan in the ceiling keeps the air flowing, and a Dometic fridge is mounted on heavy-duty drawer slides under the kitchen countertop for easy access.
Our van's framing and insulation are covered in 1/4" plywood (with shiplap over it), and all the electrical is easily accessible without having to take apart the walls. This makes it easy for future owners to redo the build without having to insulate and frame everything from scratch.
Finally, the bed area features Flarespaces on both sides, allowing taller folks to sleep sideways with ease.
