Are you a function over fashion person like us and don’t need excess of bells and whistles that drive up costs? We built this van with simplicity and cost-efficiency in mind. It’s clean, comfy, move-in and adventure ready!
We bought the van in 2021 with 21,900 miles on it and began the build right away. We mainly drove it around NY and PA for off grid camping trips and one trip down to Asheville, NC. It’s a nice smooth drive and quiet!
We take great care of the van. We have all the maintenance records (mainly just oil changes). We don’t drive it in the winter. We love this van, but we have a lot on our plate right now in life.
About the Build and Additions:
The walls, ceiling, and floor are all insulated. The ceiling has 5’8” of standing height.
The bed converts into benches and vice versa. The whole bed can be removed so it can still be used as a cargo van, to fit kayaks and bikes in, or whatever fun activities. We leave the bed in bench mode and slide paddle boards or bikes in the middle. Choose your adventure!
It’s a custom short queen bed with 5” memory foam. Storage under both benches. The bed is approximately 5’10” in length.
There is a sink and 2 burner gas stove top kitchenette. 3 gallon gray water tank under the sink. Cupboards and drawers are great for storage.
30 gallon freshwater reservoir with water pump and on-demand hot water.
