2019 Ford Transit 250 High Roof Custom Built Adventure

To start – I have maintained this vehicle by changing the engine oil every 3,000 miles with top-quality full synthetic oil and the changing the transmission fluid and filter every 30,000 miles with OEM fluid. I have personally travelled in this van to Yosemite NP, Zion NP, Yellowstone NP, Lake Tahoe, Grand Canyon NP and several more adventure road trips. The van has performed flawlessly every time because I have taken extremely good care of it and drive it carefully.

The design: This van is custom-built by a professional home builder. I designed this van to have all the basic necessities and plenty of easily accessible storage/closet space. The van is fully insulated (walls and ceiling) with R-13 insulation; I have personally lived three California winters in this van. The wood paneling gives it a warm country-home type feeling. The fixed bed is raised high enough to allow for full-size bicycle storage (two or more bicycles, if needed) beneath the bed; there is no need to ever dis-assemble your bicycle because there is plenty of space underneath the bed for a large bicycle. The bed is queen size and measures approximately 6 feet tall by 5 feet wide – plenty of space for two adults to sleep comfortably. There is enough floor space underneath the bed for a mattress for two more individuals (if needed). There is a special wide shelf for storage just above the fixed bed (books etc.). There is a Maxx-Air Deluxe fan in center of the roof just above the fixed bed to breathe comfortably at night.

The van has a professionally installed roof rack from Flatline Van Co. and two fixed Solar Storm 100-watt solar panels and an Inergy Apex PowerStation Lithium battery with an built-in inverter (you can use A/C household appliances in the van). Enough power to work a comfortable 8-hour day on my laptop with two screens from the solar electricity. There is a built-in electrical LED lighting in the ceiling with a regular household light switch. There are two propane cook-tops and an Olympian Wave 3 propane heater. There is a convenient sink with gravity-fed flowing water (from a 7 gallon water container) for all kitchen needs (dish washing etc.).

There is a fixed shelf above the bed with large amount of storage. The shelves underneath the bed have enough room for a closet-full of clothing for any journey (hanger space as well).

Additionally, this van has a built-in hidden Sentry Safe (bolted to the frame of the vehicle) with enough space for laptops, passports, money, valuables etc. The bed has a fixed Toshiba television with a built-in DVD player to watch your favorite shows. A convenient shoe-rack is placed at the entrance; put on your hiking shoes/dress shoes/walking shoes right as you need them. Underneath the bed is a built-in clothing drying rack (in case you ever need to dry some wet clothes).

The van comes with a permanently working Viofo A119 V3 dash-cam which is connected to the solar powered battery (NOT the car’s main engine battery) so it works 24/7. The van comes with a Thetford Marine 565E Curve Portable Toilet.
