Vanlife made easy! All those issues with insuring a conversion van? Gone. I took the time, trouble, and expense to title this van as a Class B RV with the DMV. IYKYK! Easier to insure as well – ZERO trouble and the build itself is covered. Can’t vouch for other states, but this is my experience (State Farm in FL and MN). Now, on to some fav attributes. It has a pocket door. As a solo female traveler, this was a huge benefit for safety as well as temperature control. Inside shower, same thing. Didn’t want to shower outside; however it does have the option to shower or rinse off using swivel sink faucet in case you want to use or convert the shower to storage. Nautilus self-cleaning, retractible shower door and updated self-stick wallpaper. There’s HOT water that runs off propane. Speaking of hot, it has heated floors. Nice perk for those who like to ski, snowboard, or live in colder climates. For hotter climates, there’s also a rooftop A/C and a Maxxair fan. The kitchen has a mini fridge and an induction cooktop and a two shelf cupboard with a door; bottom cupboards are open with bungee cords. I found that I liked the easy accessibility. Storage shelves housing the electronics are enclosed with a curtain, and I added bungee cords. Keeping the batteries in an area with air circulating (unlike enclosed batteries in a garage) helps keep them from overheating. The bed is my favorite. I love a fixed bed….but this Murphy bed is the best of both worlds! It hides two benches for eating or entertaining, without the ordeal of reconfiguring the whole bed! Easy up to watch and unlatch to come down. Roof rack holds the solar. I added a Prime Design ladder for easy roof accessability. If you’re not the exterior ladder type, it’s easily removed as it clamps on, so no holes were drilled. I also added running boards which was a major help on a daily basis! Like literally the best money spent! It has a 3000 watt inverter and Renogy lithium batteries. It also has shore power hookups and the ability to run off the alternator should you decide to hook it up. Fun things… it has a backup alarm when reversing, it has a hydraulic driver’s seat, and I installed neoprene seat covers to help avoid the salt and wetness at the beach. She has a new alternator. Before I bought her, Kip at Promasters Only said she’s good for 200k more miles if she’s babied, and I do baby her. Not an endorsement, just an observation. Newish tires, new alternator, new power steering hoses, consistent maintenance, gentle driving. No tranny trouble like some of the models. I’m sure I’m missing some of her great attributes, so ask away! She’s been a fun little ride, but it’s time for a change. She’s ready for more adventures.
