2018 Ford Transit 2WD Full Professional Off-Grid Conversion

Twin turbo eco boost 300 HP gas engine. Medium roof with 148″ wheel base. Flawless performance with no mechanical issues ever from the Transit. Locally serviced at Ford dealer and never needed anything besides oil changes.

This is a very nimble, easy-to-drive van with lots of power so that you can pass and accelerate on any road at any altitude, which makes driving safer and more fun.

In the summer of 2023 I had AVC modify the build by removing part of the dinette and adding a retractable rear bench seat so that four people can be belted in. Lithium Ion batteries replaced the 3 year old Lead Acid batteries, an induction stove replaced the propane stove and a new table and mounts were added for a more convenient dining situation. The owner of AVC knows the van well and can answer all questions about the build and easily modify any of it for a reasonable price.

2WD with Goodrich KO4 off road tires-no modifications to van were required to fit them. Camping parts of the van rarely used. Most notable:

• Electric bed that moves up and out of the way so that two bikes or other play things can be carried in the garage, then at the push of a button the bed lowers for sleeping use.
• Outdoor instant-on shower with curtains
• Galley with sink, stove and refrigerator.
• Marine toilet
• Maxis fan with remote control
• 20 gallon fresh water tank for sink and shower, fully pressurized.
• 10 gallon grey water holding tank.
• Storage overhead plus under the sink. Many small cubbies for additional storage. Passenger seat pivots to face backward.
• Rear bench seat folds up and out of the way for transporting large items or for more room while cooking.
• Large auxiliary heater that runs off of fuel in the gas tank. Four season rated with substantial insulation throughout the van-ceiling, walls, floor.
• Off-grid capable with ample solar power generation and new Lithium Ion batteries installed summer of 2023. Can be upgraded to 400 watts of solar easily.
• Factory tow package and can include Kuat swing arm rack mount (but not the bike racks) designed for vans so that bikes can be left on and swing out of the way to access the garage.
• Mosquito screens for sliding door and rear barn door plus custom window shades for all windows.
• Retractable awning.
• Lots of lighting throughout on dimmers plus reading lights with USB ports over the bed. Several 110 volt and USB ports in the dining/galley area.
• Two bike racks within the garage included if desired
• Chains and extraction boards included if desired (both never used and are brand new).
• Microwave, toaster oven, spice rack, kitchenware included if desired.
• Will sell everything that is in the van as a turnkey operation.
