Priced to sell quickly.
The van is very clean inside and out – you can see in the photos it has been very well cared for. This is an awesome conversion done by Outside Van in Portland intended as the ultimate road trip vehicle. Outside Van does some of the cleanest and highest quality builds (and most expensive) in the industry. They have fully sound deadened, insulated, installed marine board, flooring & added in full grain leather captains chairs (the back 2 are easily removed). There is also a full grain leather flat folding love-seat that can also be removed in seconds. It has full AC power from large battery bank with 2kw inverter and solar panel. Amazing sound system with carplay head unit, Focal speakers and Samsung smart TV. This will cruise at 80 mph on the freeway and with the shorter wheel base it’s very easy to drive in town, park and maneuver.
Brand new BFG tires and freshly serviced. I have all receipts from the build ($75k for Outside Vans work alone) and all manuals in a file. Very low mileage – around 67k. This build started with a 2500 Mercedes 2500 with the 3.0 diesel. Van was $66,293 plus a $75,337 build – it is a $140k+ retail. Highlights from factory:
– Towing package
– Active Safety plus
– Premium package
– Rear AC
– High roof with rails
– Powered side step
– High and low range 4×4

The way it is set up – with massive power supply, solar charging, insulation, lighting and floor mounting rails it is great for long road trips with tons of gear, camping or using as a remote work / office. It has mounting rails on the floor inside – so if you want to put a modular bed in, that can be easily done. We have used it for all of these things but unfortunately we just do not use it enough! When we slept in the van we would remove one chair and put in an aero bed on the floor and our son would sleep on the flat folding seat in the back.
Title in hand.
I am aware of two issues with the van:
- There is an aftermarket air horn (aux switch to toggle from factory horn) and the horn no longer blows – air compressor does function
- The front license plate mounting plastic is cracked and damaged
