Up for sale is my 2017 Mercedes Benz Sprinter Camper Van 144 affectionately named Hurley.
This is a high-end Camper Van conversion that is perfect for uncompromising outdoor enthusiasts.
For me, there is no better way for two people to travel than in a Sprinter 144 Camper Van. The 144 inch wheelbase Sprinter is only 19.5 feet long which means you can park anywhere a regular car can. The ability to pull into a rest stop and 5 minutes later be eating dinner and watching a movie is a game changer. Stuck in traffic? Have your partner fix sandwiches. Boondock camp on beaches and in wilderness areas. Stay in a friend’s driveway. There is no need to plug in – you can eat, sleep and stay perfectly comfortable anywhere.
Winter is Coming!
Ski season is right around the corner, and this van is ideal for getting the most out of the season. The van is fully insulated and is equipped with a diesel heater that keeps it toasty inside. Sleep in the resort lot and be the first to hit the slopes. Have a perfect place to take a break away from the crowds – load it up with your favorite foods – even take a rest mid-day.
It’s great for winter but it’s also great all year round. The van has only 35,000 original miles and is in excellent condition throughout.
Hurley is completely self-sufficient with a fully automated electrical system that keeps you charged up. The Integrated Starlink system keeps you connected with high-speed internet anywhere on the planet. On board fresh and grey water tanks, and a Natures Head composting toilet keep you comfortable. High end heating and air conditioning systems keep the temperature ideal anytime.
The interior is meticulously crafted with the highest quality materials such as true Baltic birch cabinetry and Bamboo ply counter tops. The interior is beautiful and extremely durable.
The Van is equipped with tons of storage options for your adventures. With a large storage area under the bed with a storage slide system to make access a snap. We routinely store two e-bikes in the back and an inflatable Kayak on the rear ladder. The Van can be expanded with a number of racks for mountain bikes on the rear of the van.
The roof rack has a seating platform for viewing parades or getting the perfect shot of the sunset. It can also be outfitted with a Thule storage box as well.
The options are endless, and I think you will love this van as much as we do. I hate to sell Hurley, but I am nearing completion of a new build, and it is time to let it go.

Electrical System:
The electrical system in the van features 200 Amp hours of Battle Born lithium-ion battery power, a 2000 Watt power inverter and 320 Watts of roof rack mounted solar panels. This gives the van the ability to operate off grid, with the ability to power all the systems without the need for external power.
The Li-on battery bank is charged by solar panels (10-15 amps/hour), while driving via the van’s alternator (50 amps/hour) and can also be charged with shore power (60 amps/hour).
The electrical cabinet is ventilated and temperature controlled with an automatic 120mm fan to ensure the electrical components stay cool.
Water System:
The van features a 20-gallon freshwater tank and a 22-gallon grey water tank with on demand hot water provided by the Rixen heater. The system powers a full galley sink and drain with hot and cold water.
The system also has a hot and cold shower control at the rear of the van. This provides a shower via a pop up shower tent at the rear of the van or a full hot/cold faucet for cleaning dogs and gear.
Water can be sourced from the internal freshwater tank or by a campground water supply via the city water connection.
The water also system features fast winterization for cold weather operation.
Connectivity Features:
Starlink:
The van has an integrated Starlink antenna which provides off grid internet service anywhere. The Starlink standard antenna is mounted on the roof rack. Starlink is an ideal high speed internet solution for van life providing outstanding service and ease of use at a low price.
Cell Signal Booter:
A weBoost cell signal booter is installed in the van. The external antenna is mounted on the roof rack on a pivot that allows is to be easily raised or lowered. The weBoost cell signal booster improved cell transmission dramatically in low coverage areas.
Heating System:
The van features the Rixen heating system. This is a high-end integrated heating system that provides on demand hot water and a high output interior furnace. The system is controlled with an integrated thermostat mounted in the galley.
This system uses a Eberspacher furnace that is powered by the van’s diesel fuel tank for worry free hot water and interior heat. The heating system can also be powered with shore power when available.
Air Conditioning:
The van features a Cruise N Comfort high efficiency 12v air conditioning system. This provides comfort in hot climates with an easy-to-use thermostat. The van can typically power the AC system overnight on battery and continuously when on shore power.
Interior Features:
Ceiling:
The ceiling is covered with beautiful white cedar tongue and grove panels. The ceiling is designed for maximum clearance for taller people. People up to 6’2” can stand in the van without touching the ceiling. The ceiling is also fully insulated with sound deadening with integrated lighting and ventilation.
Wall Panels:
The van’s interior has a full set of wall panels that cover all internal voids in the van. The panels are made with ¼ inch Baltic birch that is stained with a polyurethane coating on both sides.
Cabinetry
All the cabinets in the van were designed in CAD for strength and light weight. They are constructed with true Baltic birch which provides unmatched strength and durability. The countertops are high end Cali Wood bamboo plywood.
Utility Cabinets:
The passenger side utility cabinet contains the water system. The driver’s side cabinet contains the electrical system. The utility cabinets also form the base of the bed platform.
Upper Cabinets:
The van has six upper storage cabinets for ample storage with maple doors. The cabinets have magnetic latches and soft close hinges.
Galley Cabinet:
The galley cabinet features a deep Ruvatti sink and four large storage drawers with a large under sink storage area. The Rixen hot water heater and furnace are integrated into the base of the cabinet. Hot and cold water is provided by an automated RV water pump and the Rixen hot water heater supplied by a 20 gallon freshwater tank and a 22-gallon grey water tank.
Refrigerator and Cooktop Cabinet:
This driver’s side cabinet features a induction cooktop, a large drawer for cookware and the van’s 12v Novakool 3.8L refrigerator.
Over Cab Storage Shelf:
The Cab Storage Shelf provides storage in the unused space above the front cab.
Seat Swivels for Driver’s and Passenger Seats:
The seat swivels allow the driver and passenger seat to swivel fully to the rear. This allows them to serve as comfortable main seating for the interior of the van.
CR Laurence Camper Windows:
Camper van windows two vent windows on both sides of the van with screens. This provides critical ventilation for the van.
Anti-Vibration mats:
The interior has anti-vibration mats installed on all the interior walls to dampen road noise.
Insultation:
The van walls and ceiling are completely insulated with 3M Thinsulate insulation. This keeps the van cool in the summer and warm in the winter while providing sound insulation as well.
Insulated Floor:
The floor is fully insulated with XPS insulation and toped with ½ inch painted plywood. The flooring is waterproof luxury vinyl plank flooring which is extremely durable and easy to clean.
Natures Head Composting Toilet:
A Natures Head Composting toilet is installed under the bed on a slide. This hides the toilet when not in use and also makes it very convenient to use. The toilet and slide are mounted on the L-track and can be removed to configure that van for more storage.
Maxx Air Fan:
A Maxx Fan is installed in the front fan position to provide van wide ventilation. This fan works with the vent windows, and interior fan to provide excellent ventilation.
Interior Convenience Features:
The van has a full suite of interior convenience features:
* Magnetic bug screen for the sliding door
* Magnetic black out windows covers
* A blackout curtain for the driver’s cab
Interior Entertainment:
* The van has a 27 inch Smart TV which allows streaming entertainment anywhere with the integrated Starlink internet service.
Driver’s Convenience Features:
* JVC Wireless Carplay/Android Auto Stereo
* Yeti cooler mounted between the front seats that provides cold drinks and ice and also doubles as a footstool when the seats are swiveled to the rear.
Exterior Features:
Fiama F45s awning
A Fiama awning is mounted over the sliding door providing shade when camping. It easily deploys and retracts with the Fiama crank stored in the storage shelf.

Roof Rack:
The roof rack is a high end OWL vans Safari roof rack. This roof rack has adjustable crossbars and perimeter bolt down rails that allow a very flexible platform for solar panels and all sorts of roof mounted gear. It is mounted to the standard Mercedes roof rails for strength and flexibility.
Roof Rack Lighting:
The roof rack has 4 high intensity driving lights mounted in front for high visibility off road. The rack also has side and rear lighting for 360 degree lighting. The lights are controlled by a wireless control mounted on the dash. The lights are also controllable via a mobile phone app.
There is also an LED lighting strip over the sliding door for camp lighting.

Under Bed Storage Area:
L-track
The rear cargo area has L-track integrated into the floor.
Storage Slide
The van has a storage slide which allows cargo in the garage area to be easily accessed. The slide is mounted to the L-track and is removable. The slides for the storage rack are 500lb rated slides.
