2017 Chevrolet Express 2WD

Beautiful and meticulously cared for adult owned van. This is a 2WD van with the bomb proof Chevy Vortec 4.8 V8 engine and a high quality Weldtec 5" lift. In the last year the van has received new tires, a new A/C compressor, ALL 4 calipers, rotors and pads! Currently my daily driver and she runs like a dream, it'll go 80mph down the highway smooth as silk, straight and true, without a shimmy or a shake! As you can see from my profile I am a professional builder and have sold a half dozen vans on this platform. I bought this van last summer as a bit of a passion project. I was looking to work on something a bit more interesting rather than the same 'ol boring white cargo van! But all good things come to an end and its time for the Chevy to find its forever home.

The van is a partial build. With 200 watts of solar, 40 amp charge controller, 100 amp/hr Renogy AMG battery and a 2000 watt inverter. There is a 12 volt fuse holder wired to a Maxxair vent on the roof, 2 dimmable led lights on the roof and to the diesel heater.

My wife and I used the van for weekend mountain bike excursions during the summer and ski trips during the winter. I left the cargo area of the van open on purpose to give me flexibly. When going on an overnight somewhere I'd simply throw in my foam mattress and be good to go!

Other van build Highlights: rigid foam insulation throughout covered in shiplap cladding. Both a Maxxair powered fan and a standard RV vent mounted to the roof. This setup works great in the summer. Open the RV vent and set the Maxxair to exhaust and the van cools right down! It's like a wind tunnel! Chinese diesel heater with an external diesel tank. Which works amazingly well on even the coldest nights! I had planned on towing our small camper (but never got around to it) and installed a 4 and 7 pin trailer plug and a dash mounted trailer break control. Again never used.

Im sure I'm missing something! Bottom line this is an amazing van, with a ton of character. Yes, the miles are on the high side, but look closely at the pics. The undercarriage of this van is almost spotless! I've had vans with half the milage that didn't look anywhere near as clean as this one does. These 4.8 Chevys will regularly run over 300,000 miles.
