As a family, owning this van has been the best decision we’ve ever made. We’ve had some amazing adventures and created memories that will last a lifetime. Now, we’re looking for someone who will take good care of the van and create new memories with their family. We’re the second owners of the van and purchased it at around 15k miles. It has low mileage and has been well-kept, mostly garage-kept, and has received all regular and required recommended services.
This Travato comes with features that most others don’t have, such as a full 360 rail and mounting system on the roof, a kayak mount, a rear bike rack, a 360 spotlight system, and around 400 watts of solar, so you can go indefinitely without shore power in a good, sunny area. It also has a Wilco swing away rear tire mount and tire, an Amazon Firestick smart TV, a flip-down rear exterior table for work, cooking, washing, etc.
The van has had a recent service at Dodge and is ready for the new owner. It also has off-road tires with less than 8,000 miles on them, as well as new chassis batteries with high capacity that are less than a year old. Over $10k in upgrades.
We’ve stayed at some of the most amazing places around the country from the shores of Lake MI, to the mountains in Colorado, to the cliffs of the Badlands, to the Everglades of Florida, saving tens of thousands of dollars on lodging and car rental over the years. The van has been like our own apartment/hotel on wheels, allowing us to go anywhere and do anything.
Please note that we purchased this van from a dealer in Idaho who said “the title would show 2015, but it’s actually a 2016 van because of when it was produced/manufactured, etc.” The body style is a lot different than the 2015. There is a Cummings generator under the van with less than 40 hours on it. The van sleeps 4, has a full wet bathroom and shower, a full kitchen, a large fridge and freezer, a microwave, and AC.
The only thing the van would need is a new awning since it works but has issues staying in or you could keep it tied up like we do while driving. This is a known issue with these years, and owners have had the awning fly out while driving. So, we strongly recommend keeping it tied up or replacing it with a more modern one. We’d also recommend replacing the AC unit with a more quiet and efficient one if an owner wants to use the AC.
