This van has everything you need to live/travel/work offgrid, with ample storage for bikes, gear, food and water! The van was professionally converted by Stand Up Vans in North Carolina in November 2020. During the almost two years we’ve owned it, this vehicle has allowed us to see more places than we’d imagined.
Starting with the electrical system, the 340ah lithium battery bank has enough capacity to keep your laptop and electronics charging all day, with plenty of power leftover to cook and keep your food cold in the refrigerator. Thanks to the 3000w inverter, you can even cook using an InstantPot or full sized blender! The Dometic induction cooktop has been a great feature for safely cooking in the van and is something we’ll be adding into our next van, too.
When you need usable wifi in remote areas, the weBoost cell signal booster will make a noticeable difference. It has allowed us to work online in some incredible places that otherwise only had one or two bars of cell service.
There is no indoor toilet or indoor shower in this van, although we imagine a composting toilet could be added with some minor modifications. To us, the interior space was too valuable for these features, and we haven’t regretted the decision. There is an outdoor propane-heated shower at the back of the van.
We have a cat and she lived in the van with us, though you wouldn’t know it aside from the custom litter box cubby hole that’s in the L-shaped bench. If you don’t have a cat, this could easily be repurposed as an easy access storage compartment or modified to accommodate a composting toilet.
The van was serviced in September and brand new radiator and shocks were installed. A full mechanical inspection was completed by the mechanic at the time of this service. We want to be sure the van is in good health and ready to hit the road on its next big adventure! There are a couple cosmetic dings on the outside of the van, including a light dent across the sliding door and rear panel, and some light scratches on the passenger side of the front bumper.
