She’s part home, part homie, and she’s the van that taught me what I’m actually capable of. A 2016 Ford Transit 250 high roof that my dad and I converted from a work van into my freedom van. Six years, ~90,000 miles, around 10 states, miles of beautiful East Coast views, a dog who grew up in the front seats, and exactly zero times she left me stranded.
I’m the third owner. Bought her around 110k miles, sitting at ~206,400 now. I’m selling because my partner and I are leveling up to something we can live in full-time together (the twin Murphy bed is comfy for one, doable for two, but I needed a little more space and a little distance from his snoring). Homee’s still got at least another 100k miles in her and she’s ready for her next solo adventurer, couple, or weekend wanderer.
THE PHILOSOPHY
Homee (pronounced Homie) was a father-daughter project. My dad and I built the bones together over a season of cuts, seams, and beers at the end of the day (or at least at the end of an argument). Every year since, I’ve added something of my own. She’s not a polished pro build. She’s something better: honest, functional, made with care, and full of good energy you can feel the second you step inside. She is pretty much ready to roll with opportunity to be crafted to your own place!
THE VAN
• 2016 Ford Transit 250, high roof, regular length (not extended — fits in a standard parking space)
• 3.7L V6, RWD, automatic
• ~206,400 miles (I put 90k of them on her, gently, across ~10 states)
• Clean title, third owner
• Cab A/C and heat work great year-round
• Build area is unconditioned — primitive by design, best for seasonal use and shorter trips
• No cruise control
• Stealth game is strong — still looks like a work van. Never been pulled over.

WHAT’S NOT FINISHED
Ceiling and upper cabinets aren’t done. Lighting is modest. Walls are raw wood — never painted, primed, or sealed. This is the blank canvas part. If you want to paint, finish, customize, or build her out further, you have the starting point already done: floor, insulation, bed, kitchen, power, ventilation, swivels, storage, screens, curtains. The heavy lifting is finished. The personalization is yours.
