2015 Ford Transit Connect. (Long wheel base.)
Solid van build. I have taken it from the west coast to the east coast and all over in between. It has never given me even a hint of trouble. It gets great MPG. The oil & filter have been serviced every 6000 miles. The transmission fluid was just serviced. This van has saved me thousands in hotel stays and I can park anywhere for the night without drawing any attention. The solar power station powers the fridge, max air fan, diesel heater, and charges phone, laptop etc. It can also power small 120 volt appliances. Plenty of accessible storage under the bed. The THULE top box has plenty of room for overflow and the big items. The diesel heater is a game changer, you can travel in comfort year round, keeps you nice and warm when it’s cold out. The max air fan keeps the air moving both in or out and can be controlled with the remote when in bed mode. This van has made some amazing memories for me and I hope it goes to someone who will appreciate it as much as I have. It has 192000 miles on the clock, and it still runs and drives near new. It doesn’t have any issues, and I would not hesitate to drive it anywhere, any distance. It is a unique vehicle and fun to drive and it draws a lot of attention when the doors are open. The mileage will go up because I still use this vehicle. It is a Ford and parts and service are available anywhere. But here are the things I would want the next owner to know. The tires will need to be replaced (in the next 5000 miles?) they are still good but it will depend on your comfort level. When there is an extreme outside temperature change the front sway bar bushings squeak a little bit and then it goes away. It is noticeable but not enough to bother me, I just thought you should know. There are some small dents and scratches but nothing serious. The worst one is on the drivers side, just below the roof rack about half way back. Its about 3” across and ¼” deep. It was there when I bought it and I don’t even notice it. There are some rock chips in the windshield but no splits or cracks. That’s all I can Think of. Contact me if you have any questions or need more pictures. I am open to picking you up at the airport (Fayetteville or Little Rock, Arkansas) and you can drive it home or we can work out some type of delivery. Thanks for checking out my van, David
