Hey, I’m Judson. I’ve been full time in this van since September of 2021, and have traveled all over the country in it. Life is changing and I need more space, so I am moving on from vanlife to the skoolie world, (just bought a bus!) so i’m motivated to sell asap because I’m trapped with 2 vehicles at the moment. This van is turn and adventure ready! I’ve cared for it like my home, because it has been.
Because you’re curious- here’s some background on the high mileage.
In its previous life this vehicle was a transport van that made highway runs from Charlotte to Raleigh, NC which is where about 230k of the miles came from. It was then bought by a friend of mine in 2017, who built it out as you see and lived in it for 2 years. I purchased it in Sept. 2021. I put 9,000 miles on the original engine, doing regular oil changes every 6k, but at some point the oil pump failed, causing damage internally to the engine and it was recommended by multiple trusted mechanics that the engine be replaced entirely. We were able to source an engine from a vehicle with only 30k miles on it that was in a rear end collision which was installed in february, 2022. Since then I have gone nearly 10k without a hiccup.
This would make the perfect weekend adventure van for a couple, and is a fantastic option with plenty of storage for someone looking to go solo full time with a limited budget.
