All ready for off-grid adventures or full time van living. This conversion is fully off-grid if you want it to be and nothing was cheaped out on. Kept in a garage when not adventuring and camping. I bought this van 2 years ago and picked away at the conversion in stages while also using it. Plumbing and electrical components have about 4 weeks of added up use, conversion just completed a month or so ago. I bought windows for the back doors as well, can include them if we come to a deal and you would like to get them installed. I chose not to because the side windows are plenty, but I am used to driving fire trucks and using mirrors only and you may want to be able to use the rear view mirror!
Electrical
– 400W of Renogy Solar panels
– 3, 100 Amp Battleborn Lithium batteries with enough capacity to run the fridge and lights for almost 5 days without recharging
– Victron MultiPlus 3000VA 12 volt pure sine wave inverter with 120 amp battery charger
– LED lighting, 110V outlets with inverter on, USB charging outlets
– Dometic roof vent fan with 3 speeds
– Shore power connection
– Truckfridge 65L fridge with freezer
– Ceiling mounted smoke and carbon monoxide detector
Plumbing
– Full wet bath with shower and cassette toilet (removable)
– 23 gallon fresh water tank
– 10 gallons of grey water storage with electric ball valves for easy dumping
– 2.5 gallon water heater plumbed to both shower and sink
– water filter on cold water tap on sink for extra safety with drinking water
– pex water lines with Shark Bite couplings
General
– Lagun table mount
– Tons of storage with overhead cabinets, dresser, kitchen cabinet, pantry, closet, and a shelf in the headliner above the front seats
– rear seating area converts into a bed 6 inches wider than a Queen size, 6 inches smaller than a King
– Nautilus self cleaning retractable sliding shower/bathroom door
– Plenty of room on the back half of the roof for a storage box or small roof deck
– I did not go with a permanent cooktop of any kind because if it’s nice out I like to cook outside anyway. I use a good quality camp stove that stows away in the kitchen cabinet when not in use. This way the already limited counter space isn’t diminished even more. When I do cook inside, it’s easy to open the vented window in the slider and turn on the vent fan on the roof and all cooking smell/steam is removed.
Insulation (photos of build process provided via email to serious inquiries)
– floor has Kilmat sound deadener, then foam board insulation, plywood subfloor and then vinyl plank flooring
– walls have reflectix, then wool insulation, then another layer of reflectix
– ceiling has reflectix, foam board, then another layer of reflectix
