2006 Chevy G3500 Duramax 6.6 yes it’s running and purrs like a kitten. We’ve treated this bus like our baby not to mention it was our full time home and we never drove it over 60mph to ensure engine life span. He can do 80mph no problem, but not recommended for maximum mpg. 60mph gets you 16mpg. Purchased with 155k miles and now it’s at 200k miles. If taken care of as we’ve taken care of him he’ll go to 500k miles. Oil changed every 6000 miles for 5 years.
My wife and I lived in this short bus for 5 years exploring 41 states. We finished it as we lived in it which allowed us to customize the space to our needs. We’ve made this bus fully off grid. We were able to last 22 days in the AZ desert with no runs to town. That includes water. Theirs is no bathroom.
