This pirate ship can sail the Seven Seas, comfortably camping in Death Valley and the Mojave Desert (done in the winter). This conversion has a refrigerator that can be temperature-set to act as a freezer instead, allowing you to set the temperature of your cooled goods. 2 of the back windows can open, allowing cross-airflow, and the two openable ceiling vents help ventilate the space. The couch pulls out into a bed, and a table is able to be attached to the couch when it is in couch-form. There is a fully functional sink and microwave, both easily accessible. The sink has a hinged cover as well. A bendable reading light is attached to the wall next to the bed, as well as the heating control of the Webasto heater. Puck lights are also attached to the ceiling, allowing even lighting throughout. The windows in the back are tinted, maintaining privacy during daylight hours, but note that it is easy to see through when you have the lights on. We did not finish making the curtains that could solve this issue, but when using the van as a camper in the backcountry, they have not seemed necessary. The sink's water supply can be rerouted to a shower head, which can be attached to the back doors for hands-free washing. The shocks are very capable and make bumps on medium difficulty offroading very doable, and the short nose also helps when traversing dips in offroad trails. The van does not have 4 wheel drive, but its high clearance allows you to access many more trails than a regular vehicle could. Only one of the windows in the back is blocked, allowing both wide viewing angles of scenic locations, and preserving line of sight from the drivers seat. The sideview mirrors also have secondary smaller mirrors that allow you to see your surroundings better while driving. There are both solar panels and an alternator so charging will not be an issue.
