1995 Toyota Hiace Turbo Diesel 4WD

1KZ Turbo engine, automatic with overdrive, and full time 4-wheel drive. Mileage: 164k.

This is a somewhat rare, original Japanese import, hi-top custom camper with overhead skylight windows, and a very large storage area above the cab. We are the first owners of it in the USA, and have done a thorough mechanical workover to insure reliability, as well as a full conversion of the interior.

The van is stylish, comfortable, functional, and it has a ton of storage space throughout. Inside the back hatch there are pull-out drawers to support your cooking needs, with a propane tank to hook up a stove, a pullout cutting board prep surface, tons of pullout drawer storage space for all kitchen supplies, camping equipment, tables, chairs, and firewood. Inside there is a high flow ceiling fan, a diesel heater, an amazing dometic air conditioner, and a beautiful kitchen unit with cutting board top and stainless sink with running water.

Within the kitchen unit, there is more storage in pullout drawers and cabinets underneath to hold 15-gallons of water. There is a pull out 12V fridge with 40L dual compartment capacity stored under the bed.

The bed is 70” long by 60” wide, and has an extremely comfortable mattress. The van is fully insulated and there are also insulated removable window blackout/coverings throughout the back area. Along with new flooring, and white laminate ceiling and walls, there are 8-LED puck lights in the ceiling with dimmer switch and toggle.

The drivers cab is basically all original with the exception of the multimedia player which has bluetooth and remote. The van drives great and gets about 18 to 20mpg when it’s fully loaded, and cruises comfortably at around 70mph on the highway.

Deans Auto Care in Portland Oregon has done the following work on the vehicle: Complete cylinder head and gasket replacement with new timing components and fuel injector rebuild. • Replaced camshaft • Replaced rear wheel cylinders • Replaced rear sway bar link/bushing • Rebuilt the radiator/fill and bled • all fluids checked and oil changes done. New Yokohama Geolander all-weather 235/70 R15 tires plus a full-sized spare tire • Back up camera.
