Lieutenant Van is a 1988 E150 Club Wagon, long body. While there are 94,000miles on the odometer, the 351 Windsor was installed in 2018 when the prior owner brought her back to life. If you’re looking for the perfect blend of adventure van and creeper van, you are in the right place.
Lt Van was found on a Tennessee property, sitting un-used for over 10years; yes, the odometer reading is about to turn the FIRST 100k – not the 2nd or 3rd. TurtleTop di the original build with the TurtleTop popup you see today as well as interior cabinetry. The prior owner trailered it to Ohio, completed the motor swap, ripped out most of the interior and completed the rebuild for sale today. She is running the best she has run in my years of ownership – just turn the key and go.
The Lieutenant may be thiccc, but gets around just fine in parking lots. She is not young but she has grit and climbs single lane, rutted, dirt, half washed out mountain roads with ease. She is a hoot to drive whether it’s out adventuring or just out for maple creemee. An adventurous lady, she loves questionable forest roads and all things mountain bikes – but is just as happy to travel the easy road at your local State Park.

The Lieutenant is living in Great Barrington, Mass for the summer. I live at Mount Snow, Vermont, so she could easily get back there. And I work in Burlington, VT – so that’s also an easy option.
