1972 Ford Econoline 2WD

Extremely rare Econoline built by Xplorer, ready to camp. I purchased this van 3 years ago and made several mechanical upgrades with the idea of taking a 2 year sabbatical across the western US. We have clocked 15k miles with only a single hiccup ( fuel pump). Reluctantly selling as we are now camp hosts and need more interior space( bought a vintage trailer since).

improvements and repairs done 2 years ago:

new water pump- new harmonic balancer- new carburetor- new electronic ignition- new shocks- new tires( a month ago)- new dash A/C system from Vintage air- dual electric fan cooling system- one wire alternator- rear air bags suspensions- complete brake system w/ front disc conversion- discreet solar system w/ flexible panel- 3 way Dometic fridge.

the original propane heater works perfectly and i added an on demand water heater that works when hooked up only.

all the gauges work, never overheats, with power brakes and steering is a blast to drive.

would be a fun van for someone who loves avoiding highways and enjoying cruising the backroads of America. It's a one ton chassis, so top speed is 65mph, but she's happiest rolling at 55-60:-)

she's 54 years old, needs nothing to travel but obviously would require someone who is familiar with basic mechanics.
