We’re selling our beloved 2024 Scout Kenai and 2024 Ram 3500 long bed crew cab (gas engine, ~24,000 miles), both in excellent condition. Perfect for full time OR part time use – hit the road and have fun TODAY. Four season-ready camper. Gas engine – No expensive diesel to deal with… Turn-key ready!

This rig is PACKED with custom features to enhance livability and comfort. Highlights include: a high-altitude, high-output gasoline-powered heater that taps into the truck’s 50 GALLON gas tank; 13 gallons of fresh water + 5 gallon LifeSaver jerry can + Guzzle H20 water filter; extra custom-built storage; 590 watts of solar, and more! Truck has a 50 gallon gas tank, is under factory warranty, Les Schwab Open Range A/T Plus, just ~21,000 miles, and is in fabulous condition. Open to selling truck and camper separately, but we’d prefer to keep them together.

1. Reason for sale: We’ve spent over 300 nights in this camper over the last 2 years, and it’s been a fantastic home on wheels. We truly love this rig, and will be sad to part with it. However, we’re switching to a different unit to accommodate some new medical needs (ugh!) and our growing family (yay!).

Looking for a van and not sure why you should consider a truck camper? Trust me when I say, truck campers will TOTALLY change how you think about life on the road! Prior to owning our truck camper we had a camper van (Ram 2500 we built ourselves and sold on this platform!), and we LOVE that we made the switch to a truck camper. Full size trucks are way more comfortable to drive, have more features, are more reliable, and can safely handle way more roads (4x4!). The camper and truck can also be separated, giving you more flexibility and peace of mind. Finally, truck campers feel much more open and spacious than vans, making full time or part time life on the road more enjoyable.

Below, I detail the standard features that our 2024 Scout Kenai truck camper unit comes with, plus the custom upgrades we’ve added ourselves or had done at the factory. I also share a detailed description of our 2024 Ram 3500 4×4 long bed crew cab.

Standard Scout Kenai features:

1. Mudroom and pop up shower in entryway. There is a shower pan in the front entryway with an enclosing shower curtain that attaches to the ceiling. You’ll need to provide your own shower (e.g. RinseKit)
2. 5 gallon Lifesaver water jug with water filter
3. Generous dinette that converts to a second bed
4. 10 cubic foot outdoor gear locker
5. Tons of storage inside
6. EXTRA LONG full size bed (bed extensions can be installed at the factory, if desired; bed is 80 inches long instead of the standard 75 inches)
7. Skylight (can be upgraded at the factory to a rooftop tent that sleeps 2, if desired) with bug screen and blackout screen
8. 2 large windows with bug and blackout screens
9. Maxxfan Dome fan
10. Yeti 3000X Goal Zero power system (UNDER 5-year WARRANTY) and alternator charging via the vehicle

Scout Kenai upgrades and unique features:

1. Black bed runners factory installed by Scout
2. Manual jacks
3. The bed is mounted on slats with gas struts, giving you TONS of under-bed storage for gear and clothes. Seamlessly blends in with camper design, and can easily be removed if additional storage is not desired.
4. Eberspacher Airtronic 4kWh gasoline powered heater. This heater is rated for high elevation use, has a high-output that absolutely pumps out heat, and taps directly into the gas tank (if purchased with vehicle) OR a portable gasoline container. If you purchase the camper with the truck you’ll never have to worry about managing a second fuel container! The tap goes 2/3 of the way into the gas tank, so you’ll never run your gas tank dry. We installed the controls next to the bed so you can turn the heater on without getting out of the covers.
5. Countersunk 2 burner Dometic cooktop (gives you more usable counter space!)
6. Dometic CFX5 75L fridge / freezer (both sides can be used a a fridge, freezer, or split)
7. In addition to the stock 5 gallon Lifesaver Jerry can, we installed a 13 gallon water tank, pump and accumulator operated by a power switch, LOCKING outdoor freshwater fill port, and Guzzle H2O water filter, giving you 18 GALLONS of on-demand fresh water capacity.
8. Neoprene tape on ALL metal seems (some of these we did ourselves) to reduce thermal transfer
9. Additional 400 watts of Renogy solar panels installed on the roof for a total of 590 WATTS OF SOLAR.
10. Custom wood shower pan in doorway (unit also comes with the original metal shower pan if you prefer that.)
11. 2-year old GoalZero Yeti 3000X power unit with 3 years of product warranty remaining.
12. Bathroom: Brabantia trash can, mirror, folding shower curtain. Perfectly fits a Trelino composting toilet (we will not be selling our toilet with this unit).

We’re trying to sell the truck and camper together because our next rig required a regular bed platform (not a long bed). The truck can easily be upgraded to a Bowen Customs setup, if extra storage is desired. We’ve test driven all the major truck platforms and I think the Ram has by far the most comfortable seats.
