2020 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 3500 170 4×4 Dually — TouRig Expedition Build
Asking $209,900 | Under 25,000 Miles | Approximately $245,000 Invested
Offered for sale is my exceptionally equipped 2020 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 3500 170” dually, factory 4×4 with high/low range, professionally designed and built by TouRig in Golden, Colorado.
This is not a typical Sprinter conversion. It was purpose-built as a four-season family expedition vehicle with an emphasis on capability, comfort, reliability and the ability to travel well off the beaten path without sacrificing a beautifully finished interior.
Approximately $245,000 has been invested in the van. The original Mercedes-Benz MSRP was $70,507, and the documented TouRig conversion alone totaled $139,226.17, before the additional wheels and tires, roof rack, RoamBuilt components, Owl exterior equipment, bike carriers, audio upgrades and other accessories added afterward.
It currently has fewer than 25,000 miles, has been stored indoors, and has been serviced exclusively by Mercedes-Benz.
Mercedes-Benz 3500 4×4 Dually
The foundation is an unusually well-optioned 2020 Sprinter 3500 with the 170” wheelbase, dual rear wheels and Mercedes’ factory 4×4 High Range with Low Range transfer case.

TouRig Professional Build
The TouRig conversion was approximately $139,000 and incorporates a very substantial electrical, heating, water, sleeping, storage and off-road system.
One of the defining features is the SCA pop-top, complete with bed, mattress, ladder and integrated lighting. Combined with the two fixed lower bunks, the van provides a particularly useful family sleeping configuration without requiring the interior to be converted every night. Two additional rear executive captain’s chairs provide comfortable dedicated passenger seating.

Power & Electrical
The electrical system is built around a 400Ah lithium battery bank with a 2,400-watt inverter/charger, shore power, alternator-based charging and integrated system monitoring.
The van also has two 90-watt slim solar panels mounted to the pop-top, along with multiple 110V, 12V and fast-charge USB outlets positioned throughout the living space.

Full Galley
The interior incorporates extensive TouRig Airliner cabinetry with beautiful butcher-block countertops.
The galley includes a double induction cooktop, large Isotherm Cruise refrigerator/freezer and deep Ruvati stainless-steel workstation sink, providing a legitimate cooking and food-preparation area rather than the abbreviated galley found in many van builds.

Additional Airliner upper and lower cabinetry provides substantial interior storage while retaining the clean, open layout of the van.

Suspension & Off-Road Equipment
The chassis and suspension were substantially upgraded to complement the factory 4×4 system.
Equipment includes the Agile Offroad Stage 1 suspension system with upgraded rear leaf springs, Fox shocks, front coil-over springs and wheel spacers; Van Compass secondary front Fox 2.0 shocks; and upgraded Koni front struts.

- Roof rack
- RoamBuilt side steps

Condition & History
With under 25,000 miles, this van has seen remarkably little use relative to the scope of the build.
It has been kept indoors and serviced exclusively by Mercedes-Benz.
The Blue Grey exterior, black wheels and understated exterior equipment give the van a clean appearance that doesn’t advertise everything contained inside it. Open the pop-top and the vehicle transforms into a remarkably capable family adventure platform with multiple dedicated sleeping areas, serious power and water systems, full galley and true four-season capability.
The build was done professionally from the beginning rather than assembled incrementally as a DIY conversion.
Complete Mercedes-Benz factory build documentation and TouRig build sheet are available.
