2019 Ram Promaster 2WD

I built this van over roughly four months in 2019 with the intention of keeping it for years. Recently I started refreshing a few systems, but decided I’d rather move on to another project than finish the remaining cabinetry and cosmetic work.

This is a one-owner van with just 39,500 miles, a clean title, no accidents, and no rust. It’s been extremely reliable throughout ownership and has only needed routine maintenance. A new 300Ah LiFePO₄ battery was installed about a year ago.

The build is unfinished, but fully functional. It can be used for camping today while leaving plenty of room for someone to finish or customize the interior however they want.

Most of the labor-intensive work has already been completed, including:

Extensive sound deadening and insulation throughout (Kilmat/Dynamat, spray foam, polyiso, and sheep’s wool)

Tongue-and-groove ceiling

Framed walls

Side window with vent

MaxxAir roof fan

Murphy bed (54″ x 80″, 8″ memory foam)

Sink with foot-pump water system

Fresh and gray water stored in removable jerry cans

Large utility cabinet originally designed as shower enclosure (plumbing and drain/pump still installed)

The electrical system includes:

Renogy 200W solar

Renogy MPPT solar charge controller

Battery isolator for charging while driving

Renogy 2000W inverter

Blue Sea fuse panel

Multiple USB and 12V outlets

Dimmable LED ceiling lights and additional LED strip

Dometic refrigerator

Exterior upgrades include:

Roof rack with crossbars

Roof basket

Ski/snowboard carrier

Toyo Open Country A/T tires with 10-15K miles of tread remaining

The remaining work is primarily finish carpentry and cosmetics:

Lower cabinet doors and drawers

Upper cabinets

Shelving Interior trim and molding

Backsplash

Paint or finish work

Or redesign the layout entirely if you have a different vision.

I think this van is ideal for someone who wants to skip hundreds of hours of the difficult work. The insulation, electrical, wiring, roof penetrations, flooring, and major systems are already complete. You can start using it immediately while finishing it exactly the way you want.
