1985 Ford Econoline 2WD Okanagan

I bought this van when it needed a lot of work. I’ve put a ton into it to get it ready for full time living and then lived in it for 6 months while I built out my promaster. I ended up finishing my promaster conversion early, so I no longer need this gloriously vintage Okanagan. Here’s what you need to know:

New tires!

Freshly cleaned carpets.

New and very comfortable mattress.

New curtains throughout.

Front seats swivel. Very handy for having guests.

Oven does not work, but the stove does. New board on the three way fridge.

New house water pump and fuse.

New Maxxair fan (it does trip the circuit breaker sometimes, but you just have to flip the switch and it works again. )

New copper gas lines throughout.

I just had the regulator cleaned. It was working intermittently and was just clogged.

New wires, spark plugs, fresh oil change.

Carburator is clean.

New distributor.

New fuel filters. I had the pump tested and it’s still good.

New engine water pump

Belts are in good shape.

New master cylinder.

New brakes.

Two weird things to know. The odometer clocks the mile wrong. I took a trip from MN to UT and it read the distance at over 10,000 miles. It talked to the mechanic and it’s a $500 fix. The nice thing is that it has lower actual miles than it reads. The other thing is that it does burn some oil. It’s not a ton, but worth being aware of. To give you an idea, I lost a quart on that MN to UT trip.
