Since 2021, this 2015 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter Van has been our adventure vehicle and “home on wheels” as we’ve explored all four corners of the U.S. It’s also done double duty, acting as our “Uhaul” during moves from CA to TX and TX to IL. This sprinter proved to us that yes, two adults (and a small dog!) can comfortably travel the entire US while working full time (remote).
It offers all the amenities for one to two adults to comfortably live, work and play wherever your travels may take you! Unlike other similarly converted vans, this one is designed to be able to fly under the radar and travel stealthily. Close the doors at night and only a trained eye can tell it’s more than an Amazon van.
This vehicle is extremely easy and comfortable to drive, so much so that you may even forget you’re in a 24-foot-long van. As if the in-vehicle toilet and shower weren’t enough, this van is fully “off-grid” and solar powered. You don’t have to worry about “plugging in” to recharge your living space, just use the energy from the sun to keep the sprinter powering up your trip!
There is a 35-gallon freshwater tank and 7-gallon gray water tank in the van. For us, this meant refilling our freshwater tank every 1.5-2 weeks. The fridge comfortably fits a week’s worth of groceries and there is ample room above the sink and stove for kitchen storage. The in-vehicle desk offers great seating for your workday or even for food prep.
Whether you’re doing a midday workout in rainy Canon Beach, OR or loading up furniture to bring home, this van’s murphy bed provides ultimate floor space for any adventure.

Reality Check!! This is something you probably won’t see on other listings.
(1) Every van has issues and van life isn’t as it seems on Instapicture & Tik Tak.
(2) We did NOT build this van. We purchased this van from a man who had a carpenter/previous van lifer build it for him. This is not a “professional” van build hence it’s not > $100k. No warranty on this build and it is sold as is.
(3) Vans do require work. Expect to be fixing things or running into problems no matter which van you build
