2014 Ford Transit Connect Camper / Utility Van

Unique small van. Great gas mileage, 26-30mpg, comfortable ride, can haul a substantial amount. Oil changed every 5k miles. Scuff on front bumper, paint fading a little on front bumper. Around 80% highway mileage!

I modified this to be a work/play vehicle. I’m a carpenter so I had storing and transporting tools in mind balanced with being able to go on long road trips and camp. Comfortably can sleep two with gear.

– Two 48” inch drawers for tools, groceries, store a cooler, kitchen box, camping gear, cloths etc.

– Insulated and skinned ceiling with nice plywood with a polyurethane finished. – Four dimmable flush LED lights.

– Maxxfan with a remote which is very handy for keeping it cool in the summer. There would also be times I would have my dog with me during the day for short periods and it was incredibly comforting knowing I could keep the van cool enough for a short time with the dog inside.

– Fits a full mattress in the back

– Lights and fan are powered by an aux gel battery that is charged when the van is driving, using a relay to disconnect the battery when it doesn’t need charging. There are a few usb plug ins in the back for phones and small electronics. There is a fuse panel that would allow other small loads to be tied into the battery.

– Trailer hitch for bike rack or small trailer

I think this would be a good fit for either someone in the trades looking to use it as a work vehicle or someone who wants a “light” camper van conversion.
