This 1995 Isuzu Elf was built out by Yokohama Motor in Japan and imported into the US in 2022. Many parts are easy to source domestically – the chassis is a narrow body version of the domestically produced GMC W-Series commercial trucks, and the engine naturally aspirated, 3.1L 4JG2 4 cylinder diesel engine, which was used domestically in a variety of heavy machinery applications. You won’t find many of these around, but the Isuzu Elf camper community in the States is active and always ready to provide their experiences and input for this unique vehicle.
