Ford Escape Hybrid 2012 SUV Conversion

The Good: 

Can go on gravel roads, high clearance (8.3in)

Regular oil changes 

Most of mileage is highway 

Gentle drivers 

Brake job just completed–2014

Interior made for comfort 

Hybrid: good gas mileage, visit the pump less (32mpg on average)

Full size bed: can fit 2 people 

Storage: Small storage to fit a coleman stove under the back of the platform accessible from the trunk, 2 sides of storage under the front of the bed accessible from either passenger door

My wife’s ingenious idea:

**The first third of the platform bends back in two separate pieces, this allows you to get the driver’s and passenger seat back and still have a full length bed when the seats move forward and the platform extends**

The Bad: 3

Check brake light: phantom chimes, air tire pressor sensor chimes

Needs AC reset 

The wall panels are not fully attached—we tried to do walls

The Ugly: 

Rust on exterior 

High mileage (though mostly highway)

Needs new tires, price drop allows for new buyer to get them
