I bought this new transit in 2022 with the intention of converting it myself for off grid photography adventures. However changes in my health required me to hire out the full conversion. It was completed in February of 2024 by an excellent firm in Portland Oregon. We have found it to be outstanding in performance, quality of the details and comfort over this summer. Sadly I have to part with van life too soon but this will be an amazing find for the right adventure seeker. All of the systems are still under full warranty and it’s fully transferable to the new owner!
No corners were cut in the creation of this custom van. It is extremely flexible in layout and use as you will see from the photos. Flexibility in the system design makes for an easy switch between shore power, off grid solar power and engine power. Plenty of fresh hot and cold water. The bed can be left in place with a good workable galley space for kitchen needs and comfortable seating in the transit chairs or the bed. Or the thick, comfortable mattress folds and stacks upright with tie down straps against side wall. Center mattress support boards are easily removable for clear passage. Both front seats swivel to set up a living space. Tons of well thought out storage. Lights operate with wall switches, phone controls or s-Pod panel. Heating is also operational with phone or s-Pod panel.
