2020 Ford Transit T-250 AWD

EcoBoost (Window sticker with factory options in the pictures)

6000 miles currently. Title in hand.

Purchased new in 2021 – 36 month warranty still good till March 2024. Purchased as an empty cargo van and converted over the last year and a half. I have a summer camp spot I can leave a trailer all summer at so I’m selling to get a travel trailer for a little more space.

Build details below….

Electrical

-Built this so it can run the induction cooktop, charge laptops, and run the fridge/lights/fan without ever having to worry if you’ll run out of power. During the summer, it can run a portable AC unit on battery only for about 6 hours. I’ll include a PDF of the wiring diagram for future owner

-4 Battleborn lithium (LiFePO4) batteries (400AH/5120KWh)

-Victron 3000 Watt Multiplus inverter/Charger with shore cable wired to rear

-Victron Orion DCDC charger (Provides 30 amps of charging while van is running)

-Victron Solar charger

-400 watts (2-200 panels) of solar – Solar charger could handle another 200 watts. Would require two smaller panels wired in Series-Parallel with the existing panels as a third 200-watt panel won’t fit on the roof.

-Victron Lynx Distributor to cleanly run all the wires

-8 lights in the ceiling. On separate switches for over the bed and kitchen area. Lights are dimmable but are not installed on a dimmer switch.

-12v outlet and four 120v outlets

Climate

-Kilmat sound mat applied to floor, ceiling, and walls.

-Wool insulation in floor, ceiling, and walls as well (5 bags in total in the van) In the smaller nooks, spray foam was used instead.

-Window in slider door has built in bug screen and shade.

-Fan over bed. Opening the slider door window provides a nice breeze. Has auto temp setting which is nice on those 90-degree days so your van doesn’t get to 120+ inside

-Espar B4L gas heater. Connected to the van gas tank so you don’t have a second fuel tank to deal with.

Kitchen

-Cabinets were custom ordered from The Vansmith.

-1800 watt two burner induction cooktop. Does require induction friendly cookware but no propane tank taking up space!

-Truckfridge TF-130 fridge. Bigger than most van fridges and very efficient on 12v

–Large sink with sprayer faucet. Location near slider door is convenient to spray off feet or swing out to shower.

-5 Gallon gray water tank

-7 Gallon fresh water tank + 22 gallon tank. The 22 gallon is in and pickup hose ran to the sink with a quick disconnect but does not have the fill connectors installed so it has never been used. I ended up using the portable 7 gallon tank because of the ease of filling and would have went without the larger tank if doing it over

Bedroom

-Flarespace flares installed to sleep sideways.

-Flarespace Baja memory foam mattress (queen size). Flarespace has custom fit bedding but normal queen size bedding does fit too.

-Bed and mattress fold and slideout desk and bench are underneath. Check out the pictures for how that works.

-Reading lights in the top of the flare and USB/USB-c outlets as well

-Adventure Van mule bags. Lightweight and don’t rattle. Mesh pockets on sides and bottom. Installed onto L-Track on the wall/ceiling and can be removed/installed in about 5 minutes.

Miscellaneous

-L-track installed on driver side wall/ceiling, passenger side ceiling and on the floor

-Wilderness Vans front shelf over cab. Wrapped in fabric and added a piece of extruded aluminum as a lip (had planned to add a curtain to this)

-Flatline Van Co Roof rack with Colorado Fairing company fairing added. FVC sells a ladder and awning that attach nicely to the rack and can easily add 10 series 80/20 to it as well.

-Dometic toilet. Not mounted anywhere so you can choose to leave it in or take it out.

–Front passenger seat swivels 180 degrees

–Vancillary door stop to open the slider door partway

-Reflective covers for all 3 front windows

-Stock all seasons replaced with Nokian all weathers at 3k miles. These have the 3PMS rating so are rated for snow.

Unfinished projects/issues

-22 gallon water tank mentioned above

-Bottom of bench is not enclosed. If I kept the van I’d get rid of the large water tank and leave the bottom open for ease to throw things under there but you may want to close off the water tank or whole bottom area instead

-Trip meter miles to E is slightly off. 12 miles to E is actually empty. Float probably got off when the fuel pickup for the heater was installed.

-Rear door dent (see pictures)
