Mitsubishi Fuso FG
Manual (Stick Shift)
This Fuso Overland rig can also be seen over on Instagram at @FusOverland
*And please check out the photo links below...
This Silver Mitsubishi Fuso FG 4x4 and the custom low profile removable A~Liner Expedition camper habitat combination has served me well, but I am heading into a new project with the truck and it is time to let go of the custom built and mounted A-Liner Expedition tray/subframe Camper. It will be sold with a White 2008 Mitsubishi Fuso FG 4x4 5 Speed with only 62K miles. This truck will not be sold separately at this time.
*Not plug and play, but pretty darn close. We will unbolt the subframe with camper attached, and drop it onto the 08 FG frame. Then re-wire the A Liner to the main batteries and you’re good to go.*I may be willing to deliver to anyone within 1000 miles of my location which is Southern California, and can help with shipping of longer distances or delivery of it to a local dealer for mating to the A~Liner habitat.
*Again, I will not sell the 08 Fuso FG separately at this time, but I will entertain the idea of selling the A-Liner Expedition set up if you already have a Fuso or another flatbed you want to attach it to. Delivery available.
*Here is a link to photos and video of each (Copy & Paste if need be)
2015 A Liner Expedition on Fuso FG:
Mitsubishi 2008 Fuso 4x4 Manual 5 Speed:
Here are the details on each component:*The Camper...2015 A Liner Expedition Series With Custom Subframe and Boxes:I don’t believe this A Liner Expedition was ever used for anything except what you see here. The previous owner of this combination was VERY skilled and had an amazing shop. His workmanship and attention to design and detail can be seen throughout the marriage of the removable camper unit to the custom frame. He really knew what he wanted!
Versatility: First, this A~Liner unit can be removed in less than 15 minutes freeing up the very functional flatbed with side rails for other duties. There are 4 camper jacks that slide into each corner which allows you to drive right out from under it. It’s a great option to be able to leave the habitat behind for exploring away from basecamp. This leaves you with an awesome flatbed with the easy functional side rails for all your work needs, or for loading motorcycles, ATV’s or building materials. I will definitely miss this feature. The flatbed itself has crossmembers mounted to a lower frame rail that is bolted to the Fuso frame. A normal filler beam compensates for the 8 inch drop in the Fuso frame.~Included: The subframe storage boxes, the external box mounted generator, and the motorcycle lift come with the frame. It’s the complete setup with all the peripherals. (*Again, If you wanted to attach this to another flatbed vehicle this would absolutely work.)
I prefer to keep the AL and the Fuso FG together in the sale, but here is obo pricing if you just wanted the AL with all peripherals.
A~Liner/Flatbed Pricing: $22k obo
(Current A Liner Expedition Camper units are running $22-28K right now. The time and materials put into the creation of this habitat cradle/subframe, motorcycle lift, generator and boxes cost an additional $10-12K. Currently this would cost you north of $30K to recreate.)
*The Truck: 2008 Mitsubishi Fuso FG 4X4 Long Wheel Base Cabover Truck...Current Odo: Only 62K miles!
*Last of the best! The 2008-2010 series Fuso FG’s are the last of the true 5 speed manual transmissions.
~This 08 Fuso FG was used sparingly on dry work sites and was set up to move light cargo from location to location.
~Never a plow vehicle
~Western States no salt vehicle
~Maintained extremely well with a stack of maintenance records to go with it, as well as some spare parts I received in the purchase.
~Aesthetically in and out it is in excellent condition. Crack in windshield.
*Known Issue: Clutch
Vehicle starts right up every time. The vehicle can be started in the low gears/reverse, but cannot change between gears. Per the previous owner, this FG needs either a new clutch and/or a Concentric Throwout Bearing/ Hydraulic Clutch Mechanism. (If the vehicle is in neutral, it starts right up and idles fine. When the engine is off, it goes into all gears but with no clutch action, I have not been able to run it into 3/4/5 gears. Only low, 2, and reverse. Previous owner said it is not a transmission issue, but one of the above. I can probably give a better description on the phone. Beyond that, no known issues.
Asking $27K for the 2008 FG truck without the A~Liner set up. This is taking into account the current issue of the clutch. If she was running perfectly, the price would be $33K+.
(*Still undecided on if I will separate the A Liner Camper and the 08 Fuso, but showing a stand alone price on each for reference.)
I would be very open to helping you find a shop in my area to work with on transferring the Habitat/Flatbed/Boxes over to the new truck, and as well finding a local shop to work on the clutch issue. YES I know I could get this done ahead of the sale but I just don’t have the time right now.
As for a price on the combo, see the above pricing and make me an offer.
My preference is to sell them together and am happy to have a deeper conversation about this with serious buyers. Not having to sell them separately is VERY attractive to me and I would be very into offering a generous discount to keep them together.
