We’re excited to share our 2023 Sprinter 170, a project that has been deeply personal to us over the last year. Each family member had a hand in designing and building this van, drawing from our experiences with our first DIY van build in 2020. We’ve built this van in a way that’s both practical and beautiful, designed based off of real-world road trips and adventures we’ve experienced. We used only the highest quality materials and components to make this van road ready for a wide variety of van life applications.

Bench Seat to Bed: The bench passenger seat folds down into a bed, adding a third sleeping option.
Adjustable Water System: Utilize convenient 5-gallon jugs that are easy to replace and clean, allowing for flexible water capacity based on your trip length.
Efficient Hot Water: Using waste heat from the engine, hot water gets premixed to just the right temperature for dishes or a shower. The indoor shower operates from a single button switch. Very cool!
Ample Storage: With numerous birch cabinets and space under the beds, there’s plenty of room for all your gear.
Comfortable Climate Control: A Mabru DC air conditioner and a 540 Ah lithium battery bank ensure a cool environment for you and your pet, even off-grid.
Top-Notch Electrical System: All Victron components guarantee reliable power whenever you need it.
Ambient Lighting: Dimmable cove lighting creates a cozy atmosphere during the evenings.
Large work station/dining table: A beautiful acacia wood table provides a comfortable work station to work from the road. Combines with swivel seats to form a cozy dining table for four. Also can be easily removed to form an extra sleeping space.
Personalized Manual: A custom owner’s manual is included to guide you through every feature and function.

Though we had hoped to use this van for our own adventures, we are currently bound to one location, and we’re eager to pass this special van on to someone who will make the most of its potential.
