2017 Ford Transit 2WD

Parting ways with our self-built campervan/family adventure van. We’ve decided a truck and trailer is going to be a better fit for us, but hope to find a good home for “Gus”. Vehicle was bought spring of 2021 factory certified with a transferrable powertrain warranty that run through spring of 2028 or 100,000 miles, whichever comes first.  

This van is set up for camping, carpooling and everything in between! We’ve traveled and camped with all five of us (3 boys), day-tripped with friends (9 of us), and pulled all the seats and escaped on trips (just the two of us). Battery bank and water tank are permanently installed but all sleeping arrangements are removable with no tools required. Factory seating for 2/5/7/9 are all options. Use it as a hybrid setup like we have or permanently pull the seats you don’t need and add more permanent features. Electrical and water systems could easily be expanded if needed.

Pricing on these things is a little bit all over the place. I think the price listed is fair for what’s gone into it but if you want to make an offer go ahead. Just know I’m not in the rush to sell so any serious low ballers will need to wait it out.

Spec List:

• 3M Thinsulate throughout walls, ceiling and below factory floor (no insulation in doors)

• Insulated window coverings for all windows except front, standard sun shape at front

• Upper Bed with queen size mattress – fits front to back and side to side, we use it front to back with storage on sides

• Lower level can accommodate 2-3 kids, additional sleeping spot at front row seating via pad that hangs off front seats (included)

• 20 gallon fresh water tank with quick-connect fill/outlet on exterior, hose included

• Shurflo Water Pump – 3.5 Gallons Per Minute, 45 Psi

• Renogy MPPT charge controller – currently connected to van battery only, can accept solar as well (not currently installed)

• (2) 100 amp hour lithium batteries with freeze protection

• Renogy 200 watt inverter

• Hcalory Diesel Air Heater (new venting cap needed on tank, creates negative pressure on tank when operated)

• MaxxAir ceiling fan with rigid vents for front windows (works great for cross-ventilation)

• DIY bug screen on back door (works great – absolutely no complaints)

• VanEssential Bug screen at sliding door (high quality)

• USB charging ports at top shelf – both sides

• (6) ceiling hooks mounted into frame – I’m not going to give an official load rating, but I can hang on two of them in a hammock

• High-Top (6’-5” clear)

• Rear tow hitch (no electrical)

• Front tow hook for vehicle recovery (there are no good pull points on a stock transit)

• Aluminum roof rack from Flatline Van Co with front wind shield from Colorado Fairing Co.

• Falken Wildpeak All-Terrain Tires, about a year old, the largest tires you can fit without modifying the body

• V6 naturally aspirated (not the Ecoboost) – we get about 12mpg

• Auxiliary Transmission cooler (factory one is tiny)

• Sumo Springs suspension upgrade (front and back)

• Factory airbags have all been maintained per stock configuration
