Highly capable Chevy express van with full time factory AWD and rear locking differential
Super functional build allowing for many uses from 4 season off-grid camper to work van. Built with high end materials designed for comfort, off grid living and the ability to bring your toys or haul items. Room to store two bicycles under the couch/bed platform. Majority of the build done by the folks at wasatch-overland in salt lake (www.wasatch-overland.com). Currently with an 8 month wait list
Following is a breakdown of this project :
-2012 Chevy express 1500 passenger with preferred equipment package (keyless entry, 145 amp alternator, power locks and windows, cruise control, trailering package, 6 way power driver seat, rear window defrost, power heated outside mirrors w/ turn signal) 5.3L vortec V8, AWD w/rear locking differential
-Purchased van in april 22 with 42k miles from original owner
-Suspension upgrade: added leaf spring (equivilaint to 3/4 ton)
2″ lift kit, set of bilstien shocks, alignment
-Driver/passenger seat swivels
-5 brand new BFG KO2 all terrain tires (full size spare)
-Tuffport fiberglass high top with sliding screened windows and matching paint (6’4″ standing room)

– Kitchen galley bumpout with walnut butcher block counter. cut out for sink and space for portable 2 burner induction stove
top. storage for stove top. Isotherm 65L DC fridge/freezer. Cold water faucet. Water pump. Storage for 14 gallons of water(10.5 for fresh, 3.5 for gray)
-ultra 4 insulation and upholstered trim kit (for top)
– 3000 watt electrical system (3k renogy inverter, 3k Lion lithium batteries, victron/renogy components)
– 175 watt solar panel w/ external plug providing ability to add more panels
– shore power plug

I finished It out with CVG western red cedar shiplap siding. Both sides hade a 3″ cavity behind them that was stuffed with havelock wool loose insulation.
This build is brand new with the majority done with in the last 6 months. Trips were made to get the work done but since getting it’s finished it has not been used. Selling due to life changes.
